What Friendly Families Nursery says

Friendly Families is a parent-led nursery. We put a particular emphasis on working closely with families, developing creative play and using the outdoors in all our learning.

Summer programme
This summer Friendly Families Nursery is offering holiday care for children aged 3-5. Join our caring, professional team for specialised early years care and fun activities in our purpose built nursery and magical garden. The holiday programme runs Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm between 25 July and 9 September.

We have a limited number of places available, so we ask that bookings are made by mid-July to secure a place. A minimum block booking of 3 days applies.

Messy art play Sundays
At Friendly Families Nursery, we have an award-winning outdoor space designed with children’s play in mind. We wanted more families to be able to experience this wonderful space, so we have introduced a monthly messy art play afternoons where everyone is welcome.

Sensory stay and play
The nursery team supports a weekly term time sensory stay and play at the nearby Leander Centre on the Vanguard Estate. Join the team and local parents in a fun and welcoming setting. It’s open to all children up to five years old and their carers, and includes tea and coffee and lunch. Each week the children can join in with a craft or just have fun in the indoor and outdoor play areas.

Sessions run weekly on term time Tuesdays from 10.30-12.00. You are welcome to stay on for lunch from 12-12.30. The sessions are drop in with no need to book. It costs £1 per family, and is free for those on a low wage.
