Young Babies Bring Your Baby

Updated 16 Feb 2020

Babble Talks are daytime TED-style talks for parents, not about parenting. For parents and carers with babies under 1 year old.

Crisis In Caracas

Sarah Begum survives the most dangerous city in the world twice; once working as a journalist for the government and returning undercover to expose the social, economic and political crisis that has stunted the nation. Covering lifestyles from slum dwellers to high flyers, Sarah gives us an insight into what it is like to live in a city with four different exchange rates, a shortage of products and a communist president. She explains the historical context and how it has led to the current crisis.

Sarah Begum is an Anthropologist-Explorer and Presenter who became a real-life Amazon Warrior Queen when she lived with an indigenous tribe in the Amazon rainforest. There, she hunted and gathered with warriors to make a documentary about protecting their land from exploitation, which was endorsed by Bear Grylls after its premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, 2013.
