What happens in our brains when we are biased? How do these biases manifest in our everyday lives and affect our actions and decisions? In this talk, Dr Pragya Agarwal discusses where biases come from, how children form them and what we can do to minimise them.

Dr Pragya Agarwal is a behavioural scientist, author of ‘Sway: Unravelling Unconscious Bias’ and founder of a research think-tank The 50 Percent Project looking at societal inequities. She was a senior academic in US and UK universities for over ten years, and is now a freelance journalist and inclusivity consultant. A two-time TEDx speaker, a TEDxWoman organiser, and a passionate campaigner of women’s rights, Pragya was awarded a Diverse Wisdom award from Hay House Publishing, and named as one of the 50 people creating change in the UK-India corridor.
