Government guidelines on singing relaxed from July 19th. Now we are allowed to sing it is a very beneficial development activity for your child and you and important for your child to be able to see your face whilst doing so but at the moment even when singing is allowed, please sing quietly and maintain social distancing whilst singing. Your teacher will inform you of any further restrictions or relaxations to do with singing. We will keep all teachers fully informed as to the latest guidelines.
Latest guidelines are here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-early-years-and-childcare-closures/actions-for-early-years-and-childcare-providers-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak#parent-and-child-groups
Use of shared resources
Play Kits: Your teacher may decide to minimise the use of shared equipment for a while longer in your area. If required your teacher will send you details of equipment to bring in a separate bag with you each week to class. You might like to purchase a Baby College Play Kit from your teacher in advance or ordered to be delivered to you in class or you can bring your own equivalent toys (these will be items like rattles, scarfs, books, coloured toys etc.). Play kits are also available from www.babycollege.co.uk/store.
Each week you may be asked to bring commonly owned extra items. When using Baby College equipment in class your teacher will clean this before and after every use so please help them with this by handing it in carefully in the container provided so that they can make sure they are cleaned regularly.
Please keep your toys stored safely in a bag when not in use and keep this bag away from any other roaming little ones.

Baby College: From July 2021 it will be at the discretion of your local Baby College teacher if they wish to continue operating a “mask-to-mat” policy. If so they will ask you to wear a face covering in any situation where social distancing is not possible but to remove your masks (if you are happy to) when you are sitting on your mat and communicating with your child. Make sure masks are put away out of reach of children when not in use.
