Description

Pachamama is hosting a child-friendly, three part pop up series focused on the postnatal needs of modern motherhood. We're bringing childcare, health & fitness classes, access to experts, and the opportunity to meet other mothers, together under one roof. Crying babies are absolutely welcome.

We’re hosting baby-friendly pop up events that support a women’s transition to motherhood.
Bring your child and spend the day listening to talks from baby and toddler experts, make use of our on-site creche, enjoy a mixture of pre and postnatal fitness and yoga classes some of which are ‘mother-only’ while others are ‘mother and baby’, de-stress with a massage, and chat with other mums over coffee and croissants.

09:00:-10:00: BODY WEIGHT & BABY WITH MAYA SAFFRON
Join Maya for a session that will help you kickstart your fitness. If you’ve been out of action for a while, or even just the last trimester, this class will make you move, sweat and get your heart rate up. All fitness levels welcome. Suitable for Mama and baby.

10:30-11:30: PILATES WITH GEORGIE ADAMS
Learn how to safely engage your deep core and pelvic floor in our mat Pilates session with Six Physio’s Women’s Health Physio and Rehab Physio, Georgie Adams. This session aims to protect the spine and improve abdominal diastasis (separation) and endurance. Minimal equipment will be used, ensuring you can easily repeat as a home exercise routine. Suitable for postnatal Mamas and prenatal Mamas up to 14 weeks pregnant.

13:30-14:30: YOGA FOR MAMAS WITH JAYNE MILLER
Come and ease your way back into your yoga and your body. We’ll start with gentle re-aligning and pelvic floor work to help you regain strength and vitality from the inside, before moving though a sequence of postures targeting common discomforts experienced by mums – from tight shoulders and upper back aches, to wrist issues and exhaustion! We’ll include some breath work to aid relaxation and help you stay calm. Suitable for both pre and postnatal Mamas.

15:00-16:00: PELVIC FLOOR WITH BAZ MOFFAT
Work your pelvic floor with women’s health coach, Baz Moffat. This class is suitable to postnatal Mamas and their babies.

10:00-10:45: AIRWAYS AND FEEDING: WHAT ROLE DOES THIS PLAY IN OUR LONG-TERM HEALTH? WITH HEIDI NOWALANY & LUCY RAYNER
In this talk, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) Heidi Nowalany and paediatric osteopath Lucy Rayner, discuss the impact of infant feeding and breathing patterns that can impact our wellbeing and create health issues that can persist long into adulthood.

11:00-11:45: THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY: MAKING KIDS FASHION MORE SUSTAINABLE
Speakers from Pure Bundle, Nurture Collective and The Little Loop clothing company will discuss how you can effectively contribute to the circular economy and make more sustainable choices for yourself and your kids.

11:00-11:30: Workshop – The 12 Golden Parent-Child Relationship Hygiene Rules by Sleep Baby Bliss
This practical and interactive taster session will introduce you to key communication concepts and tools to help establish long-term, healthy and caring relationship habits, from birth and beyond

11:45-12:00: POSTNATAL NUTRITION BY FRESH FITNESS FOOD NUTRITIONIST, ROBIN SWINKELS

12:00-13:00: LUNCH PROVIDED BY FRESH FITNESS FOOD

13:00-13:45: LET’S TALK: ABDOMINALS WITH GEORGIE ADAMS, WOMEN’S HEALTH PHYSIO, SIX PHYSIO
The aim of this talk is to help women feel safe on what exercises they can and can’t do after having a baby. Plus what to look out for when they are training to avoid abdominal diastasis worsening or if you have one to help with its recovery. Also if you’ve been told you already have one what to do if you are pregnant again.

13:00-13:30: Workshop – Parent-Friendly Montessori by Sleep Baby Bliss
This taster session will guide you on how to apply simply and effectively the basics of the Montessori approach in your life. We will demonstrate some practical activities you can do at home to scaffold your child’s learning and develop autonomy.

14:00-14:45: MOTHERHOOD & ENTREPRENEURSHIP: PURSUING YOUR PASSION
Women entrepreneurs play a significant role in contributing to the growth of the global and local economy – many of these women are mothers themselves. Will talk about integrating motherhood and entrepreneurship; about balancing work and life and navigating challenges specific to mothers who are entrepreneurs – such as resource constraints, stereotypes, and limited networking opportunities. Speakers include the founder of Mama Made, Pure Bundle, London Mums Network and DE Startup Lab.

14:30-15:00: Workshop – Parental Course by Baby Brains
Empowering, evidence based parenting course. This comprehensive and fun course is for expecting parents. This taster session will focus on language acquisition and bilingualism.
