Description

Children will be following a theme (going on a journey, big and small animals) while they play, talk and learn during the 4 day workshop in the February Half Term 2020
We will play and create our own stories about our interests and our actions during play, we will share and read books and stories that are related to the sessions' themes.
We will also learn about the structure of stories and children will naturally become aware of the 'who', 'what', 'where' of stories.
By the end of the intensive workshop, children will have created so many ideas and stories that we will be able to produce their stories in book form.
Session structure:
-Hello, welcome and interactive game
-Sharing BIG and small books on our day's theme
-Talking about the pictures, thoughts and ideas about the story of the book
-Playing and generating our own ideas and stories individually and as a group
-Showing the learning of the session by recording our stories - through actions, drawings, developmental writing, identifying our 'characters' (who?), what our characters do (what?), where our stories happen (where?)....
-Ending with goodbyes to our friends
