READY, STEADY, GO PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

Sensory play is a good way for children to learn about themselves and develop an understanding of the world around them. During the sessions the children will use their sense of touch, taste, sight, hearing and smell to explore and learn.
Each session will focus on a theme that involves the parents/carers supporting their child to explore all of their senses. The introduction will be led by the group leader and the follow up activities will all follow this theme. For example: going to the seaside, exploring nature, walking with dinosaurs. The activities will involve exploring different textures, identifying different smells and tastes, listening to music, playing instruments etc, all of which will support language development, motor skills, social skills and scientific curiosity.
It might get a bit messy… but why not come along and join in the fun!
Refreshments are available for adults and children during the session and, most importantly, time for all to chat, play and develop new friendships.
