Our live classes are back for the Autumn term starting in September. The Sing and Sign programme was devised by Sasha Felix and launched in Brighton in January 2001. In a course of weekly Sing and Sign music groups for babies 6 months and over, parents and carers learn an exciting way to enhance communication with their babies before they are able to speak. While enjoying songs and musical activities with their children, parents learn a range of baby signs.
Babies use all kinds of signs and gestures as a natural part of learning to talk. Encouraging your baby with signs like milk, more, change nappy or tired will help your baby communicate.
Our classes follow the same structure every week, which is something that the babies soon learn to recognise and respond to very positively. We introduce new signs each week and we then "spiral learn", so that signs and songs are repeated throughout the term.
In this course we cover basic signs - those which will be appropriate to all babies and cover familiar daily routines. In class we highlight particular basic signs as "Sings of the week" for parents to begin using at home. By the end of Stage 1 parents will have learned 80+ basic signs.
Secondary signs - cover animals, vehicles, toys etc. Parents can use those which best suit their babies interests.
There is a car park on site, charges apply, payable by RingGo app, cash, or card.
