Description

Babies use all kinds of signs and gestures as a natural part of learning to talk. Encouraging your baby with signs like milk, more, change nappy or tired will help your baby communicate.

Our classes follow the same structure every week, which is something that the babies soon learn to recognise and respond to very positively. We introduce new signs each week and we then "spiral learn", so that signs and songs are repeated throughout the term.

You will need to bring with you a yoga mat or blanket for you and your baby to sit on. You will also need to bring a few instruments or noise makers for the musical section of the class. This can just be some rice or pasta in a tub which you or your baby can hold, baby rattles, bells, maracas etc.

The class is Covid secure so there are limited spaces and there will be marks on the floor indicating where to place your mat to maintain social distance. Hand sanitiser will be available and masks must be worn whenever you are not on your mat. I would ask that you do not allow babies to share instruments or toys as this also helps prevent the spread of any common illnesses. I know it's not always achievable so I will have wipes available too.
