The Mummas Village - The Complete Couples 6 wk course
Midwife led Live interactive course
This activity is usually led by Anna Kemsley
Fixed course dates
This is a 6 week, approx 2 hours per week course covering all you need to know about birth and babies!
The course has been devised by practising midwives, and it really is the most comprehensive antenatal course around.
The education you will receive on this course is up to date, wide ranging and delivered in a way that is informal and fun.
Over the 5 week course we discuss:
☆ Stages of labour, and how to understand each one
☆ Hormones and their role in labour and birth
☆ Breathing techniques for labour
☆ Pain relief
☆ Baby feeding (breast and bottle feeding)
☆ Newborn baby care
f you join a group course ~ you will be joined by me as host and up to 7 other couples/ participants in your local area. You also have the benefit of me being a qualified working midwife so I can answer all of your questions especially the midwife related questions. And tell you all the COVID19 procedures which is especially important at the moment with limited access to your midwife.
I offer access to 2 online private FB groups which brings you together with other Mummas Mums who are a great source of contact/ info if needed.
I set up a WhatsApp group for the mums which I stay in for the duration of the course to ensure there is contact between the mums but also 24 hr access to support from me if required.
My name is Anna, mummy of 3 lovely children, Lola Josh and Max (2010, 2014 and 2016) and a registered midwife!
The journey into parenthood is wild and crazy, challenging and ultimately life- changing. My own pregnancy and birth experiences were all completely different, a ‘normal and straightforward’ birth, an assisted delivery and becoming a gestational diabetic who was induced.
I have attended various baby classes with each of my children and initially when Lola was a baby they helped me understand that I was muddling through ok and got me out of the house to meet up with other sleep deprived mums! When I had Josh and Max I also found that by going to a class it also allowed me to spend some quality, uninterrupted time bonding with them one to one.
Through my role as a midwife I have been extremely lucky to be present at the births of many babies and this passion has led me to join the Mummas and Bean’s team. From my first meeting with Nicky I was drawn to the company ethos of Mummas in that it offers and advocates informed choice, realistic expectations with support and friendship throughout the classes.
