NB: This event MUST be booked in advance. No drop-ins.
Finally we get to see other Mamas and Babies, we get to stretch out and enjoy being together in a covered garden whilst adhering to Covid safety guidelines and restrictions.
There is lots of street parking and an outside side entrance into the garden where we ask everyone to adhere to the 2m distance.
Please note there is clearance for buggies down the side access of 83cm but not for larger prams, some Mamas bring their babies through in car seats or in slings.
These classes are sequenced to strengthen and stretch out tension around the neck and shoulders to realign the spine to allow us to breathe more deeply.
When we breathe properly, we have much more energy and thats always a bonus.
We incorporate breathing techniques to manage those days when we feel low, stressed or anxious whilst strengthening the whole body through a safe flowing Vinyasa-style practice (which the babies find naturally hypnotic and enjoyable), focusing on the pelvic floor and core and always finishing with much-needed relaxation.
It’s a wonderful way to connect with other local mothers and babies making lasting new friendships.
It is important to rest and bond with your baby until 6 weeks after birth. When you have consulted your doctor and are ready to return to practice.
Postnatal classes can be joined with or without baby.
Classes are offered either in an open studio (bifold doors pull all the way open) with underfloor heating onto the decking or in a gazebo covered garden dependant upon numbers, please bring your own yoga mat, warm clothes and a blanket to place baby on.
There is a separate seating area if you'd prefer to feed your baby away from the group, feeding and changing baby in the class is welcomed and encouraged.
Toni can provide group classes for you and your friends or N.C.T group at her home studio and garden, If you have any questions about anything, please get in touch to arrange.
Due to Covid safety procedures, please bring your own yoga mat and blanket to put underneath your knees and anything else you may need for your baby.
As we'll be practicing outside please bring warm layers.
There is side access for prams, the width of the access is 83cm wide and lots of space in the garden for buggies.
There is somewhere comfortable to sit and feed babies if you'd rather move away from your mat.
Hand sanitiser is provided.
Masks do not need to be worn inside the garden.
