Description

The Routes to Reading workshop will increase your knowledge about the processes that happen in the brain when children learn to read and increase your confidence to support your child with:
• Making connections between letters and sounds
• Blending the letter-sound connections to read words and recognising sight words to increase their word reading
• Understanding as they read
• Increasing their motivation to practise their reading skills.

The workshop provides lots of helpful information and is interactive and informal – a friendly place to learn.

All of the attendees are sent a PDF Activity Toolbox to put their learning into practice without delay.

The content covered is suitable for supporting children in the early stages of reading skill development, usually aged 4 – 7 years.
