Scouting is the UK’s biggest mixed youth organisation. It offers 6 to 25 year olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities. We’ve seen huge growth in the last few years as Scouting has gained popularity through a number of high profile scouts and scouting ambassadors.

1st Handforth Scout Group is based at the Handforth Scout Hut, Old Road, Handforth.  We form part of the Alderley District and Cheshire County scouts.

The group is run by enthusiastic and experienced leaders and assistant who are all volunteers. They are also supported by parent volunteers who help on an ad hoc basis.

Most members live nearby and the scout group is an important part of the local community. As well as the weekly meetings, we arrange age-appropriate off site activities for members such as hikes, day trips and regular camps. Check out our blog to see more.
