The name 'Wilbur and Flops' was created for the phonics and story-based classes that formed the first project for Rachel in 2018. Fast-forward six years, through lockdowns and out of the other side, and the business has evolved into something a little different and a lot more bespoke. A highly qualified and experienced SENCo, Rachel offers Online Tuition and Family SENCo Support through individual consultations to engage in joint planning and provide a wealth of suggestions for support, and in working with parents and carers to support the process of applying for an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).

Rachel supported our EHCP journey from building our initial understanding of how a plan might help our daughter, to fully supporting the writing process and selecting quotes from reports to create a holistic view of our child's needs on the page. We were able to take the plan to school and share it with the SENCo, who added the final tweaks and submitted it to the local authority. We've now got a plan in place and our daughter is receiving the support she needs to succeed.
