What Active Hands Events says

We partner with highly-qualified, artists, teachers, and creatives who want to share their craft with kids in the Brighton and Hove area. Each workshop, club, or event is designed to ignite creative sparks while teaching new skills to kids from 3 -12 years. We specialise in professional and interactive violin and ukulele lessons, inspiring art and design workshops led by artists from the local community, and events that raise awareness and funds for community organisations and charities with great causes. Join us for fun, educational and enriching experiences across Brighton and Hove.

About

I started studying the violin at 5 years old and have now been playing for over 25 years. Now, alongside my varied experience as a primary school teacher, gained over nearly 20 years with specialisms in teaching music and science, I teach violin in schools across Brighton and Hove and have started teaching ukulele at after school clubs. I started Active Hands to combine my work with children with my love of teaching varied subjects and I now help other highly-qualified teachers and artists, organise their own workshops, clubs and events to share their passions with the kids of Brighton, outside the school setting. Our motivations are to inspire creativity and provide enriching opportunities for all.

All teachers have enhanced DBS checks and all in-person events are fully liability insured with first-aid trained staff on site.
