Founded in 2001 and based on Montessori principles fun is at the heart of everything we do. Our carefully-planned music, movement and sensory sessions are very colourful, interactive, educational, and varied – there really is something for everyone. Every child is unique in their development and little ones can join in when they are ready. At Caterpillar Music, we learn music-making as well as developing physical, language and social skills.

About

Hi, I am Alison Sneddon and I have been running Caterpillar Music Lothians since 2009. A little bit about me! I am married to Graham and we have 3 children, a Labrador and a horse. Life is busy but in our spare time I love going to the gym, we enjoy family holidays and days out, movies and spending time with friends.
My favourite thing about teaching is watching the children grow in confidence each week, watching them enjoy the sessions exploring the props and using the instruments.
My favourite song is Row Row Your Boat as there are so many variations and actions you can do the wee ones love it. Closely followed by the Hokey Cokey.
We have a fantastic team of class leaders who also deliver fantastic sessions
