COOK STARS NOTTINGHAM

Making cookings child's play!

What Cook Stars says

Our Cook Stars team is passionate about cooking and we simply LOVE good food! We share our love of cooking through teaching children and teenagers how to create their very own dishes from scratch.

We offer classes for pre-school children, primary school age children, tweens and teens delivered through our team of franchisees. We also host special event workshops, birthday parties and classes within schools and the community.
At Cook Stars we take care of all the preparation to make it easy for our Cook Stars to simply come along and enjoy our sessions. All ingredients, cooking equipment, an apron, packaging and cooking know-how is provided! Everyone takes home their lovely dish along with a recipe card to cook again at home. We even see to the clearing away and washing up!

Here at Cook Stars we want our classes to be accessible to everyone, so our classes are affordable and offer fantastic value. As well as providing everything you'll need to cook we also treat children to a craft activity and a snack to keep them entertained during cooking time.

At our sessions, there's lots of opportunity to experiment with different preparation methods....weighing, measuring, shape cutting, decorating, rolling and much more! We learn about different ingredients, try new foods and develop useful life skills.

Cook Stars believe the secret to pleasurable learning is though 'play' so our classes are friendly, relaxed and fun. We keep our class sizes small to tailor our support and encourage individuals whilst we cook up a wide range of delicious dishes.

We look forward to welcoming you along to our sessions and hope you love them as much as we do.

About

My name is Natasha and I am the owner of Cooks Stars Nottingham North.
My background is in Criminal and Youth Justice. As a qualified Probation Officer, Youth Worker and Youth Justice Manager I have experience of working with children and young people for the past 22 years.

I love to cook and bake and am a bit of a foodie at heart, in fact I was short-listed for the Great British Bake Off in 2020 for the current series! I love trying new recipes and trying new food and often make edible gifts for birthdays for friends and family. I discovered my love of baking 21 years ago when a friend asked me to make a cake for her daughter's birthday, from then I was hooked! Anyone who knows me knows what a geek I am with my cooking shows and cookbooks!

A bit more about me...I love languages - I have learnt 4! And I love to travel any chance I get! I also love to read and work out and fancy myself as a bit of a quizzer, I love 'Beat the Chasers' and 'House of Games'! 'I also love music and will belt out the odd song when I'm in the mood. My next goal is to learn to play the guitar.

My passion for cooking/baking and my experience with children led me to Cook Stars! When I discovered this opportunity I knew it was the right time after 18 years in Criminal and Youth Justice to make the change to pursue something I knew I was going to love that encompasses both my skills and passion, to teach and share these with the children of Nottingham. I believe in the importance of children learning to cook and acquiring skills that will sustain them for a lifetime. With Cook Stars I have the opportunity to turn my ambition, passion and skills into something valuable, educational and therapeutic for children in a fun, safe environment.
