What Holistic Harmonies says
Holistic Harmonies is a Community Interest Company whose aim is to use creative arts to promote positive wellbeing for the whole family. Delivering weekly choirs for mothers and babies, baby massage courses, music and movement sessions for children, family social events and targeted projects linked to developing cross-generational practice within social care settings; Holistic Harmonies is driven by a passion for music and uses the artform as a vehicle to promote positive mental wellbeing and togetherness with participants across all lifespans. Established in 2018 Holistic Harmonies has created a vibrant community in the Liverpool City Region, since March 2020 this work has been relocated to the online sphere ensuring a continued source of support and education for this growing community. Following a 6-week pilot project in partnership with a specialist physiotherapist and Shortwork participatory action researcher experts to target isolation amongst the elderly and development of cross-generational practice, the expansion of this work is currently on hold. Rachel Hilton (Director) is a leader with national CIC Singing Mamas Choir and has been fundamental in spearheading Songline: an online lifeline of choir sessions delivered throughout lockdown. Holistic Harmonies are also commissioned to provide workshops to specific participant groups with partner organisations including: Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Theatres with Merseycare Life Rooms.
