What Making Mums says

Join us for a 1.5 hour long craft class for mums with small babies. Each week we will learn a simple craft technique, something that can be done whilst your baby sits on your lap, snuggles in the sling, has a feed or snoozes in the pram.

About

Making Mums is run by textile artist and maker Chloe Phelps. I came up with the concept of Making Mums whilst on maternity leave with my first baby. I was feeling like I needed to do something creative, for myself, but I didn't quite have the brain space to think of what to do. This weekly workshop is exactly what I needed then - a fully led 1.5 hour long workshop which offers the opportunity to lose yourself in a simple craft technique, spark your creativity and feel refreshed ready for the day-to-day of being a new mum!

Chloe first started teaching workshops as part of Craft Class, which she runs with fellow textile maker Rachael Pilston. Craft Class is a series of weekly workshops teaching a new craft each week, from bundle dying to tapestry weaving, tassel making to patchwork. Craft Class takes place in the evening and runs in a 6 week block, allowing you to delve deeper into your creativity and make something to hang on your wall with pride!
