Maria Moon Music provides Engaging music, movement, Singing and Makaton community sessions for parents carers and their babies, toddlers and their families.

At Maria Moon Music CIC, we believe music is one of the most powerful ways for young children to explore, connect, and grow. Our sessions bring together music, movement, and early communication in a fun and welcoming space where little ones can flourish.

What We Do
We offer a range of parent and carer including baby and toddler-friendly music activities, including:

Music Play – interactive sessions with singing, movement, and play using ribbons, balls, beanbags, scarves, shakers, bells, and age-appropriate instruments.

Makaton Singing with Baby and Mum – combining music with Makaton sign language, helping children (including neurodiverse little ones or those with delayed speech) communicate and connect in a highly social and engaging way.

All sessions are designed to be playful, creative, and memorable, led by experienced music teachers who integrate cultural elements and tailor activities to suit each group.

About

I’m Maria, the founder of Maria Moon Music CIC. I’ve worked in education for over 30 years, starting as an Educational Learning Teacher where I brought books to life with preschool groups through music, storytelling, and drama.

After studying Early Years and Primary Education, Music, Piano, and Singing, I’ve spent years leading classrooms and music sessions internationally. I hold a degree in Singing (ATCL, Trinity College London), ABRSM Grade 5 in Piano, and I also play recorder, ukulele, and ocarina.

Now, through Maria Moon Music CIC, I share my passion for helping children under 6 experience the joy of music.

Whether it’s greeting each other with song, learning rhythm and melody through play, or discovering new ways to communicate with Makaton, my goal is to create inclusive, nurturing, and fun experiences where every child can shine.
