MISS LAURA JANE’S MONTESSORI

Miss Laura Jane’s Montessori sessions create a calm environment where children follow their natural curiosity and are supported with respect, patience, and encouragement. Parents and carers join the journey too, learning simple Montessori ideas that can also be used at home. I run slightly differently to other parent & child classes — my programme is offered in 6-week block bookings throughout the year. I will be open during half terms, during August and any closures (such as annual leave) will always be shared in advance.

We offer four beautifully structured groups, designed to follow each stage of development:

🌿 Baby Wonders (Birth–6 months)

A peaceful first experience of Montessori. Babies explore soft, natural materials, visual mobiles, and gentle sensory invitations, building focus, awareness, and early movement skills while strengthening connection with their caregiver.

🧸 Baby Movers (6–18 months)

Perfect for little ones on the go. This stage encourages crawling, cruising, climbing, and purposeful exploration. Babies discover object permanence, simple cause-and-effect materials, early fine motor challenges, and emerging independence.

🥾 Toddler Explorers (18 months–2.5 years)

Toddlers love to do things “all by myself.” This group introduces practical life activities like pouring, threading, sweeping, and food prep, alongside sensorial experiences and early pre-language and pre-maths play — all supporting focus, coordination, and confidence.

🌈 Little Learners (2.5 years–preschool)

Our final stage introduces early Montessori literacy and numeracy materials, sequencing, categorising, problem-solving, and more advanced practical life work. Children build friendships, resilience, independence, and readiness for their next steps.
