Are you postpartum and do you feel ready for some movement again?

During pregnancy and labour your body goes through a very challenging time. The composition of your body literally changes in 9 months and after the mammoth task of labour you will have noticed that you need time to heal first.

But you might be at a stage after this healing process that you are ready to find some strength again. Ready to move your joints and strengthen your muscles so you can feel energised.

BUT… you have a baby to think of… then this class is perfect for you!

In a very gentle way, we will be working on building up your muscular strength and cardiovascular stamina. No talk of ‘getting rid of the mum tum’ or ‘bouncing back’ but working with the ability you currently have. All whilst your baby stays with you during the class.

Or if you find yourself with a childfree hour you are more than welcome to join too

About

My name is Sanne, I am a Health At Every Size (HAES) personal trainer and I would like to help you exercise confidently through a weight neutral approach. I acknowledge the diversity of all body shapes and sizes and accept that every body needs a different kind of support.

As a fitness professional it is my aim to make people feel comfortable with exercise and find a form of body acceptance that works for them. I take experience from my qualifications and my own journey from a disordered eater to a HAES personal trainer. I believe that everyone deserves to feel comfortable within their own skin so they can make more time for those things in life that really matter.

In 2023 we welcomed our amazing daughter into this world and I found myself in this whole new realm of the fitness industry that scares mums into thinking their bodies are broken. Pregnancy and childbirth is one of the hardest things your body will do and go through, but the most important thing is that you remember that you DID IT. So exercising postpartum is something you can do too! Yes, your body needs time to heal and it needs rest which we all know is not really happening in those early stages. But when you feel ready for it, you CAN get back into exercise without feeling like you are broken.

In BYOB Fit we focus on gentle strength based exercises. We sometimes use resistance bands but mainly work with the body to give you the confidence that you deserve. You carried and birthed a child, you can do this!
