What Mudder Earth says

Mudder Earth💜🤎 is a nature-based play, discovery and creativity community, based in parks, meadows and woodlands in and around Crystal Palace, South Norwood & Thornton Heath.

Our groups & events are designed to connect you and your little ones to nature, other local families, and yourselves.

Inspired by a lifelong love of art & nature. Informed by my experiences as a mum and volunteer in Early Years and Forest School settings.

We get together to get back to the good stuff of childhood.

UPDATE: We're back after a summer break, and now with a NEW MONDAY BASECAMP in The Meadow outside St John's Church, Upper Norwood.

We're also launching NEW afternoon "twilight" family playdates at this venue. Find out more below...

ON PAUSE & UNDER DEVELOPMENT:
- Parent & Baby Nature Circle - we're exploring collab & indoor-outdoor venue options for a potential autumn/winter edition after testing the waters. Watch this space for updates from October onwards
- Wednesdays Nature Playgroups (for older babies up to 4 year olds). We're trying to determine whether there's enough mid-week interest to invest in an indoor-outdoor home for our most affordable groups to continue through winter. If you're considering coming along, do try one of our September fully outdoor playgroups now

We're not taking any more booking for parties currently after a super busy summer of nature-packed celebrations. We'll update you when these are live again

About

I'm a local Crystal Palace / South Norwood mum who wants to share the benefits of getting creative in nature.

I LOVE bringing together families to get back to the good stuff of childhood in our lovely (but sometimes under-loved) green spaces in South London

My sessions are inspired by a lifelong love of art and nature - I grew up by the woods in Cornwall with an artist Mum. I have experience volunteering in Early Years and Forest School settings, and two wild children of my own (toddler and nearly 6 year old). I am doing my Forest School Leader Level 3 Training in autumn 2025, and many of our activities are inspired by this ethos, and other pedagogies I am interested in, e.g. Waldorf/Steiner and Montessori - I pick 'n' mix and add a bit of (eco) sparkle.

Mudder Earth playdates require adult participation - not just for the children, but for the grown-ups too. I aim to create a nurturing and fun experience and eventually community for all.
