Mudder Earth💜🤎 (formerly trading as Mudder Nature) is an outdoor play, discovery and creativity group, based in the parks and woodlands in and around Crystal Palace, South Norwood & Thornton Heath.

Designed to connect you and your little ones to nature, other local families, and your selves.

PLAYDATES FOR 1.5 - 8 YEAR OLDS AND THEIR FAMILIES, SUNDAYS & WEDNESDAYS

Child-led free-play like messy mud kitchens, minibeast spotting, potion making and lots more to explore 👨🏾 🍳🔎🐛🐞
Grown-up supported craft and other activities – e.g. making art with natural and recycled materials, building dens, making bird-feeders…🎨♻️⛺️🔨👩 👧 👦

All our playdates include hot chocolate + fruit snacks for the children, and tea/coffee for the grown ups ☕️🍫🍏🍌. Dairy free options always available. 🐮💜

About

I'm a local Crystal Palace / South Norwood mum who wants to share the benefits of getting creative in our sometimes under-appreciated local natural spaces. I LOVE bringing together families to get back to the good stuff of childhood, with playdates, parties and parent & baby circles designed to connect you with our lovely outdoor wooded spaces, your local community and yourselves.

My sessions are inspired by a lifelong love of art and nature - I grew up by the woods in Cornwall with an artist Mum. I have experience volunteering in Early Years and Forest School settings, and two wild children of my own (toddler and 5 year old). I am doing my Forest School Leader Level 3 Training in autumn 2025, and many of our activities are inspired by this ethos, and other pedagogies I am interested in, e.g. Waldorf/Steiner and Montessori - I pick 'n' mix and add a bit of (eco) sparkle.

Mudder Earth playdates require adult participation - not just for the children, but for the grown-ups too. I aim to create a nurturing and fun experience and eventually community for all.
