What Music Bugs says

Babies and children love music and singing and they love spending time with other children. So bring them along to your local Music Bugs class where they can do what they do best – singing, exploring, finding their rhythm and making new friends. In addition to our weekly classes, we also provide sessions for Early Years settings, birthday parties for ages 1-5 (higher in some areas) and are the founders and organisers of World Nursery Rhyme Week.

At Music Bugs, our aim is not to teach music but to encourage young children to develop, grow and explore the world around them through music and song. Participation in music and singing classes is a great way for children to socialise and develop in a creative and stimulating environment. In addition, research has shown that singing songs and rhymes on a regular basis helps to widen your child’s vocabulary and listening skills which are an essential part of learning to read, write and communicate.

Our classes are full of excitement with a huge variety of props including puppets, parachutes, pom poms, bubbles, scarves, teddies, hobby horses and lots of tactile percussion instruments. We sing nursery rhymes, counting songs, finger-play rhymes, knee bouncers and action songs. Singing is a great way to spend time with your baby or toddler, creating memories you’ll always treasure and helping your little one learn the fun of music and making new friends.
