MUSIC CLASSES WITH HELEN

I am a qualified Early Years Music Practitioner with 9 years experience of offering freelance sessions to children and their families. I offer classes to children aged 2 months to 5 years and the children explore with sounds, using a variety of instruments from all over the world, as well as their voices and their movements. We use a variety of well known songs, and improvisatory songs and rhymes. I try to follow the children in the session so that every lesson is different. Where possible I follow their lead and take inspiration from their needs and interests. We experience many styles of music from all over the world. The classes encourage and build confidence, as well as introducing them to simple musical concepts such as tempo, dynamics, pitch, beat and rhythm.
