What Music with Mummy says

The MUSIC WITH MUMMY programme will take your child on a musical journey from birth, all the way through the pre-school ages. The structured weekly music classes use baby songs and fun activities for children to encourage listening and social skills, so essential not only in music but in all other areas of learning. They will develop a sense of rhythm, which will also help with learning and speech development. The fabulous music and songs for babies and children are an eclectic mixture of traditional tunes that are unique to our delightful programme. Watch your child grow in confidence as they come each week and take part in our small, friendly classes full of music, educational games and fun activities.

My name is Kate and I have worked in early years education for the past 8 years. I’m married and love being a mum to two boys (aged 15 and 11 years). I am extremely passionate and committed to my Music with Mummy franchise. As a child, my dream was to become a Blue Peter presenter, this is the next best thing – I love my job! Music is a passion and I’d like to have the opportunity to bring it into your child’s life.

I did the Music with Mummy three stage programme with my eldest son and he’s very musical, whereas I didn’t have the opportunity to attend classes with my youngest son and sadly music isn’t his thing.

I absolutely thrive on seeing children develop in their own unique way and feel extremely privileged to be part of so many children’s early years. The best piece of advice that was given to me on becoming a parent was ‘readiness’ – they will do it when they are ready – some just take longer than others but in their own unique way, they will get there.

My aim is to support you, in supporting your child to reach their full potential; whilst having lots of fun along the way!

I have worked with children with different needs and adapt my lessons as required. I am currently developing my understanding of autism and hold a diploma in Pathological Demand Avoidance. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, I am safeguard trained and hold public liability insurance.
