What Musical Balloon Band - Live Music with A Twist! says

Toddler and baby music session and choir for toddlers, babies siblings and grown ups of all ages. Numbers, colours, co-ordination, rhythm, movement, sounds, socialisation, creativity and self-expression are made fun with live music inspired by popular and jazz music with hints of global and classical too. Original songs and well known favourites are given our distinctive flavour. All this plus balloon sculptures and Cecily 'the balloon' Donkey - the star of the show!

About

The Musical Balloon Band was created by Verona Chard who is a professional performer, composer, lyricist, tutor, producer and writer. Donkey Dots For Tots was commissioned by Neil Chandler general manager at the New Wimbledon Theatre and the Fairfield Halls, Croydon. Jazzy Jungle Choir Jam was born out of Verona's previous role of leader for the Fairfield Halls Community Singers and V Vox Singers. Donkey Balloon Babies and Jungle Monkeyz Play Jazz evolved from the Musical Balloon Band Proms performances. Verona is also a freelance teacher of singing at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and is a co-director and producer of various other projects in including the Jungle Monkeyz Adventure show. During the pandemic everything moved online with the invaluable help of her actor and director husband Andrew Fettes and enjoyable unplanned appearances by Oscar and Chilli the 'cool' cats. Verona works closely with pianist, multi-instrumentalist and composer and her musical director Chris Neill and for the full Live Shows alongside multi-disciplinary performer Tom Neill, (no relation) and Roan Kearsey-Lawson joins them to play vibraphone, tuned and untuned percussion with Winston Clifford on drums and Paul Morgan on bass plus guest headliners for the full band shows.
