NEW BLACK PARENTS CROYDON

Support group for African & Caribbean parents

What New Black Parents Croydon says

For Mammas: Congratulations and welcome to motherhood. This is a group created specifically for new mammas (babies 0-3) of African and Caribbean heritage to meet up with babies and support each other. Everybody’s parenting journey is different, some of us may have had difficult pregnancies, births or need support as life as a new mum. Or you may have had smoother journeys and want to provide support to others. This is exactly the purpose of this group! Bringing black women together at least once per week to check in, eat, support, walk and build relationships. For Black Dads: Congratulations on becoming a father. There’s a lack of support group’s specifically for black men to bring their babies out and enjoy the company of other new dads. Once per week Dads will meet up with babies to check in, eat, support, walk and build relationships. There’s strength in strong male relationships and support! The idea: Mammas Once per week at a suitable time for most, we’ll meet up at parks in Croydon, or breast feeding friendly cafes - weather dependent, and commence our 1-2 hour support session. Dads - likewise, at a suitable time.
