ON THE FLOOR DANCE ACADEMY

Fun, friendly Ballroom and Latin American dance classes based in Derby. All classes are ran by fully qualified dance teachers under the National Association of Teachers of Dancing.
At On the Floor Dance Academy your child can learn to dance like their Strictly favourite - professional or celebrity.
We offer a range of dance classes for all ages and abilities.
Early Movers - 2-4 years. In this class children can develop and explore their own creativity, rhythm, expression, speech and language skills, develop life long friendships and a love of dance! This class is tailor made for children under 4. It introduces children to rhythm, rhyme, poise, fine and gross motor skills, language development and social skills. More importantly it enables parents to socialise and network alongside a well-deserved cuppa at the end of the session! Drinks and biscuits provided for the little ones too!! We love it when the adults get involved too.
Strictly kids - 4+. In this class we take all the fundamentals to the next level!! Children can learn all the Ballroom and Latin American dances for examinations or just for fun! During our social session we learn line dances and freestyle dances.
Strictly Kids dance class offers 2 routes to success:
Route 1; Children can attend class for fun, learn new dances, develop technique and skills alongside posture, poise and rhythm.
Route 2: Alongside route 1 children can enter examinations.
Strictly for Adults - 16 years plus. In this class 1 Ballroom and 1 Latin American routine are taught over a 4 week course, with a few popular sequence dances or line dances thrown in for good measure. These routines can be transferred to the dance floor at celebrations, cruises etc.
Our BIG social event takes place in the iconic Tower Ballroom in Blackpool!!!
Private lessons and First Wedding Dances are available on request. No request is too big or too small.
I am fully Paediatric First Aid Trained, First Aid trained, Food Hygiene trained and DBS checked.
