LTA Youth Blue, Red, Orange and Green ball Tennis sessions at Pavilion and Avenue Tennis Club, Hove, Sussex, help teach the game of tennis in a modified way for younger or inexperienced players. All the skills and tactics of the real game can be learned and developed and the club offers weekly coaching programmes as well as holiday camps. LTA Youth Tennis works by offering different colour-coded stages; blue 6U, red 8U, orange 9U and green 10U before moving on to yellow ball full court tennis. Each colour stage uses courts, rackets and types of balls that are appropriate for the age, size and playing level of children. A child will graduate from blue to red to orange to green, ensuring that they are always playing at a level that feels comfortable to them.
