Puddle Ducks is totally committed to building a national programme of baby and child swimming that leads naturally to graceful and efficient swimming for older children. Many of our team are parents who have taken their babies through the Puddle Ducks programme. We are all passionate about the positive benefits that early swimming can offer and especially the carefully structured, musical programme that Puddle Ducks has developed.

About

Puddle Ducks teaches children, from birth to 10 years, to swim independently, beautifully and confidently, and to love and respect the water. Puddle Ducks Baby & Pre-school programme provides lessons for babies and toddlers from Birth to 4. Our Swim Academy programme is the prefect next step with classes for children age 4 to 10 years.

Classes are packed full of fun - watch as your little one develops into a confident swimmer without even realising they are learning to swim! We recognise that every child is different; our expert teachers individually tailor activities to suit your child’s ability and confidence levels. We often see children achieving their 10m award before they start school.

Every Puddle Ducks lesson has been carefully devised to fit your child’s developmental stage and incorporates rhyme, music and movement based on extensive child development research. Our teachers also adapt the activities to suit each child's individual needs.

Puddle Ducks work closely with Birthlight and the STA on the best and safest way to submerge children so that they feel empowered and never forced. The answer is simple - the child decides.

Our classes offer children the chance to learn the importance of water safety, including personal survival. These are invaluable skills to develop at such a young age and will instil a confidence and respect for the water that will last a lifetime.
