Description
My classes offer a calm, supportive space for parents and their babies to slow down, connect, and grow together. Inspired by the RIE educaring approach, these classes focus on seeing babies as capable, competent individuals from the very beginning.
In each session, we prioritise observation over intervention, allowing babies the time and space to explore freely and at their own pace. Parents are guided to step back, notice, and reflect; building trust in their baby’s abilities while also gaining confidence in their own instincts. Rather than rushing to entertain or fix, we learn how presence, patience, and respectful communication can support healthy development.
Care moments such as feeding, changing, and dressing are explored as meaningful opportunities for connection and we practice observing the children. Through slowing down and involving babies in what is happening to them, caregivers learn how everyday routines can become calm, cooperative, and an opportunity to build trust and connection.
The classes explore the idea of the baby as the active participant, supported by simple, passive toys that invite curiosity, concentration, and creativity. This approach fosters self-initiated play, emotional regulation, and a strong sense of agency in the child.
Equally important, these sessions provide a nurturing space for parents. There is time to ask questions, share experiences, and feel supported without judgement. Many parents leave feeling more grounded, more connected to their baby, and more at ease in their parenting journey.
These classes are not about perfection or rigid rules. They are about slowing down, building trust, and cultivating respectful relationships that support both baby and parent now and in the years to come.
