Description
Barre is a low impact, full body workout designed to train lean muscle through isometric contractions and small movements, focusing on small repetitions to build muscular endurance, strengthening the core and helping to support and engage correct postural alignment. Inspired by ballet, it requires no dance background and caters to all levels.
Our class is suitable following sign off by your GP to exercise at your 6-8 week check up, or we advise waiting 10 weeks if you have had a C-section. All fitness levels are welcome, and no experience is needed.
We encourage you to attend to your baby’s needs at any time so if they need a feed, change or cuddle, please don’t worry about stopping mid-class to do so. We have a duvet onsite or babies can be on a yoga mat, so bring along a blanket and some toys - however you both feel most comfortable!
Mummy&Me Barre takes place in the Hall of the Kingston Quaker Centre (postcode KT1 2PT).
