Connecting Mums runs the following sessions:

Mondays - mum and baby/toddler sessions

Morning - Hither Green/Lee

Afternoon - The Honor Oak Pub

Tuesdays - Mum and pre-crawling baby circles

Come for a relaxed but facilitated space each week to reflect upon and share how you’re doing, connect with local mums and have meaningful conversations about motherhood.

Mondays sessions are pay per session, open to mums with babies of any age up to toddlers, and there is a WhatsApp group you can join to keep in touch! Each session will start with introductions, then either I will lead a talk or discussion around matrescence and all the transitions we go through as we become mothers, or a local guest, e.g. a sling consultant, or baby massage practitioner, will lead an activity or talk. This will be followed by much needed time to chat with other mums - as motherhood is an incredible but often challenging journey, one which you don’t have to walk alone!

Tuesdays circles are done in blocks of usually 6 weeks to help create meaningful connections and a safe space to support you through the earlier months of motherhood (pre-crawling babies). Each group has its own WhatsApp group to keep in touch, and there is a mix of first-time mums and those with older children in each group.

Each week there is time for each mum to reflect on and share how her week has been, as well as discussing a different aspect of motherhood from birth stories, the mental load, changing dynamics with partners, hellish sleep deprivation, the exhaustion of co-regulating emotional toddlers, the boredom and loneliness of it all and missing paid work, alongside the awe of creating another human, the love, the joy at first smiles. It's a right cocktail of emotions and we need to talk about it more!

Run by Hannah - Mother circle leader and Mama Rising Matrescence coach

We use the dining area towards the back of The Lord Northbrook pub in Lee. There are seats for everyone, as well as space on the play mats.

There is lots of free parking on the surrounding streets, and many bus routes.
