CREATE AND CONNECT HOLISTIC WELLBEING

Winchburgh Under 6’s Creative Club is a space for parents and caregivers to focus on both their own wellbeing and their bond with their little ones. Best suited for ages 18 months- 6 years but younger children are welcome as everyone can learn from and enjoy the class. Siblings under 18m are free. You are welcome to come along adult + child under 18m and enjoy the many sensory and bonding benefits too!

Creativity is a powerful tool for connection and self-care. We’ll explore ways to enhance your wellbeing while fostering a deeper, more meaningful connection with your little one through arts, crafts, movement, music, drama and storytelling.

I am Fiona, a Primary Support for Learning Teacher, Holistic Counsellor and a parent of a little one under 5.

I see how important it is to do things together that we can both enjoy, engage with and reap the benefits of. The needs of the adult caring for the child are vitally important. Children need happy carers whose needs are met in order to thrive.

Each week will be different, with a new story and theme focus. For the first 40 minutes of the session I will lead arts, crafts, drama and music activities. Following that a snack will be offered. In the last part of the class, there will be a variety of toys for different ages available for intuitive play. In the free play session, there will also be an activity purely for the adults which they can do there and then (if their child allows for it) or take away with them. 

I will guide you, if required, as to how to support your child with the activities I lead depending on age. Toys provided during free play are selected with safety as the priority but please be mindful of supervising appropriately regardless.
