Description
The German Kindergarten Leicester is a welcoming and vibrant setting for 3–5 year olds. We are located in the Friends Meeting House, close to Leicester city centre and the University. Our two bright rooms offer wonderful views of Victoria Park, and children enjoy daily play time in our spacious garden regardless of the weather.
At the heart of our approach is the belief that learning happens naturally in a caring, stimulating environment. We encourage children to discover their strengths, develop independence and confidence, and feel a real sense of belonging within the group. Social skills, respect, and cooperation are woven into everything we do.
We are a small group with a maximum of 8 children, ensuring everyone receives lots of individual attention. Each teacher looks after no more than four children, and all our staff have up-to-date DBS checks.
Language learning is central to our programme. Through play, storytelling, songs, and conversation, we gently immerse children in German. Young children are natural language learners, and our supportive environment helps them develop communication skills, flexible thinking, and a joy for language. For them, learning German is an adventure.
All children spend much of the day together, but we also offer small language groups for focused learning at each child’s pace. Our curriculum includes German-speaking customs and festivals, helping children connect language with culture and build meaningful friendships.
We work closely with parents and share songs, stories, and new words that children discover. Together, we celebrate traditions from German-speaking countries, building an inclusive and engaged community for both children and their families.
The Kindergarten is held on the 1. Floor. Only access via stairs
