Family by the Sea CIC: 2a Addington Street

Creative Play was designed by our founding director, Ailish, as a play session for all the family.

Respecting our needs in the moment, our session is unstructured and completely child led.

Natural and eco toys and resources, such as the tactile and limitless toys by Grimms, Grapat, Plan Toys and Glucksafer.

Natural crafts and process arts will be set up in each session.

The children can choose what they want to play with, add other toys from the studio shelves and promotes so much development.

A loose parts and small world table are great for the toddlers to enjoy and respects schema development.

Sitting and watching others play is very much part of how our children learn and is encouraged and welcomed.

Self serve hot drinks, fruit bowl and snack (vegan, GF and refined sugar free).

Prams are welcome within the studio, we do have an intimate space so we welcome sling use or fold up prams where possible. We have regularly catered prams of all sizes including double buggies so know it is extremely accessible from our front door.

We have a bathroom at the back of the studio.

During tidy up time, a basket filled with natural instruments is brought out to signal the end of the session.

Our play support workers all have experience with children, development & creative arts.
We are all DBS checked, first aid trained and safe guarding is in place.
