Singing Mamas invites you to join us each week for 90 minutes of precious ‘me-time’. Whether you’ve never sung before or are a seasoned pro, you’ll be made very welcome. There’s no ‘spotlight’, no audition, just an opportunity to forget the stresses of life, to sing for yourself, for each other and just ‘be’. It's a safe and welcoming space to connect with women in your community, to sing for fun, to improve your well-being and mental health and to have time to focus on you. This group is for you, even if you don't think you can sing. The quality of your voice isn't important. We will never ask you to sing on your own, and all our songs are learnt gently, by ear, repeating small sections until we've got it, singing together, however it comes out. So, if you were told at school not to sing, that you weren’t good enough for the choir, or the shower is the only place you dare to use your voice - this group is for you and you are welcome! We are a community of women, welcoming and non-judgemental. A space to share if you want to. A space to offer a listening ear to others and be listened to yourself. A space to just sit and be. A space to allow gorgeous songs to be the medicine, that you didn't know you needed, to start to heal what needs to be healed in you and in others. Taster sessions are £5 each. After this a monthly membership fee applies. Bursary places are available - please ask.
