Gentle Journeys - Peer Support Group - Mental Health Support from a Psychologist
How to manage parenting during Covid-19 and mental health support for parents
0 months - 5 years
Fixed course dates
NB: This event MUST be booked in advance. No drop-ins.
The aim of the group sessions is to create a non-judgmental, safe space to discuss a broad range of difficulties - themes such as managing tantrums, sleeping or eating issues, how to occupy your baby/toddler, how to manage feelings of anxiety or other emotional difficulties.
The group space will bring parents together to support one another. Having a psychologist as a facilitator means that they will be able to steer discussion topics, decipher what people may find most helpful to reflect on, offer research-led information and enable each member to make use of the time and participate.
Groups will be no more than 5 people. Groups will be hosted weekly, for five consecutive weeks, and each group session will last 45 minutes. We encourage parents to attend regularly to get to know one another, but this is not compulsory - parents can join at any time.
Two groups are on offer, one starting on Wednesday 20th May from 20.00-20.45 and the other on Friday 22nd May from 10.30-11.15.
Meeting ID: 781 1912 2785
