Description
Welcome to Sevenus Swimming, a community where children develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of water. For over sixty years, we’ve been more than a swim centre – we’re a place where families feel at home and every child’s progress is celebrated.
Our classes follow the Sevenus Swimming Method, developed by our founder Laura Sevenus. This gentle, step-by-step approach encourages children to move, float, and explore at their own pace, building water confidence and skills while nurturing a love for swimming.
The Dinghy levels (1–3) introduce little ones to the water with a parent by their side, focusing on balance, coordination, confidence, and the foundations of safe swimming. As children grow, parents are gradually guided out of the water, fostering independence while maintaining a sense of security and achievement. Each stage builds naturally on the last, allowing children to progress smoothly and confidently.
Classes are small and friendly, with up to five adult-and-swimmer pairs per session (three swimmers per teacher in Level 3), held in warm, welcoming water. Each 30-minute session uses repetition, play, and positive experiences to help children trust the water and move confidently.
