ISLAND DANCE ACADEMY

Island Dance Academy is an established school in Medway. We are based in spacious, purpose-built studios at Brompton Academy in Gillingham, we provide the perfect environment for creativity, learning, and personal growth.

We offer a wide range of classes, including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Street Dance, Musical Theatre, and Contemporary. From pre-school ballet for little ones aged 2½, to advanced training for older students, there’s a place for everyone.

We follow the IDTA syllabus for examinations, these are held twice a year, but we also ensure that those who prefer not to take exams can still progress alongside their friends. We aim to make dance both enjoyable and rewarding, encouraging physical fitness, confidence, and self-expression.

We offer numerous opportunities for our students to perform on stage and consistently see them succeed in auditions for local productions, including professional pantomimes. Our students have danced at prestigious venues such as His Majesty’s Theatre and The Shaftesbury Theatre in London, as well as various local theatres in and around Medway. Additionally, we produce in-house shows approximately every two years, showcasing the talent and hard work of our students for you to see

Our commitment has been recognised with a Certificate of Merit from the Theatre Dance Council International for outstanding examination results.
