LITTLEME THEATRE WORKSHOP

LittleMe Theatre Workshop is a unique and engaging opportunity for your young performers. The class is aimed towards the performers, writers and creative thinkers of the future. Each week we will dive into a different book, taking the children on an inclusive and interactive journey, immersing them in the narrative, where they may become a pirate and sail the seven seas, embark on a bear hunt, catch a star of their very own or even trick the Gruffallo. Every session will be filled with fun and endless imaginative possibilities.

The sessions will be lead through song, rhyme, movement and character. Exploring the wonder of storytelling and bringing the magic of books to life by exploring the artful skill of play and imagination, lifting the words from the page and making a story a tangible experience. Drama has many benefits beyond the hoy of playing and fueling imagination, it helps develop social, emotional and communication skills, cognitive abilities, motor skills, boosts confidence and in turn will inspire the next generation of creative thinkers.

A little bit about me: I trained at Middlesex University with a BA Performing arts, and later worked at Chickenshed Theatre, an organisation renowned for its inclusive excellence. After taking time to raise my three children, I returned to teaching drama at a local theatre school and most recently I left my role as Head of Drama at Windlesham School to pursue this project.
