Mummy’s Mini Monster – Where Little Minds Learn Through Books & Play

At Mummy’s Mini Monster, we’re more than just a playgroup – we’re a gentle, nurturing space where your little ones can grow, connect, and thrive through the power of stories, sensory play, and hands-on activities.

Our sessions are inspired by the Early Learning Goals, with a strong focus on communication and language, physical development, personal, social, and emotional growth – all achieved through child-led exploration and imaginative play. We believe in learning through doing, and our carefully crafted sessions are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and support the developmental milestones of children under 6.

Each session is quiet and calm, with a maximum of 9 mini monsters, each accompanied by one adult. This intimate setting means every child has space to explore at their own pace while building meaningful memories and connections alongside their grown-up.

Our classes are mixed-age, allowing children to naturally learn from one another – observing social cues, picking up language skills, and developing empathy through shared play. Whether your child is just finding their feet or already full of chatty energy, there’s a place for them here.

Access is via the stair inbetween the fish shop and the kitchen place. Toilets and baby change facilities on site. Please bring slippers or grippy socks as this is a shoe less zone to keep the space clean and safe for little learners. In the winter months additional layers are required as the space can be colder due to it being inside an old mill.
