MUSIC TREE

This stage is an incredibly fun time to make and experiment with music! Everything is a discovery. Moving, singing, dancing and playing instruments are amazing ways for our little students to express themselves. The goal of Music Tree’s teachers is to develop your child’s musicality whilst guiding them in their discovery of group work and other social skills. We focus on musical games and creative activities as well as applying my own research on body percussion and neuro music. Children are encouraged to learn music whilst having fun.

Sing and play reception is designed for children aged 4-5, offering a fun and engaging introduction to music through creative games, group play, and improvisation. The course focuses on foundational music skills while giving children the chance to explore a wide variety of instruments.
Throughout the year, students rotate between piano, ukulele, percussion, xylophones, bells, and other melodic instruments. Piano and ukulele are the main focus, with dedicated sessions that allow for deep exploration. Each child gets plenty of hands-on time, playing solo, in pairs, and as part of small ensembles. This rotating instrument approach helps children discover what they gravitate towards and want to learn about in depth in the future.
