Nature Makers is the UK's leading provider of award winning mindful nature art, craft & play experiences for children & adults.

Classes are lead by Sarah, a local teacher and Eco Leader with over 10 years EYFS experience and a passion for nature and creativity. During each class, you and your little ones will explore and learn about the natural environment through a variety of arts and crafts and stories and mindfulness activities.

Throughout the year we journey through the seasons, with a different theme each week including plants, animals, the weather, or the season as a whole. All of our resources are natural, vegan friendly, sustainably sourced where possible or recycled to help reduce landfill.

We enjoy all different types of Art including: Product, Process, Collaborative, Land Art and more. These different art types are specifically selected to develop children's creativity and also support development of sensory processing skills, hand eye coordination and fine motor skills with classes written in line with the Statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. 

We believe in a co-creation and facilitation approach with Guardians supporting children in the best way for their needs. Classes are designed for children aged around 12 months - 5 years allowing for them to try a range of activities with your support where needed. As we aim to be outside as much as possible (weather permitting), please dress for mess and bring a picnic rug or blanket to sit on. We do have the option to move classes inside the community centre if the weather proves to be too inclement!.

The community centre is situated directly next to Penge East station, on the Victoria-bound side (platform 1). Please note that if coming from platform 2, there is a footbridge over the railway lines. Pay and display parking (Ringo) is available at Penge East station car park.

Please be aware that bookings are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, please inform us by email before 08.00am on the day of the session. You may then change your booking to another date (space permitting) free of charge.
