PARENT ACTION

At Parent Action, we offer welcoming and friendly groups for parents with babies and children under 4. Parent Action was set up by Citizens UK, the biggest community organising alliance in the UK whose mission is to build people’s power to lead change for the common good in their community.

Our MumSpace groups are open to all. They are free to attend and you can live anywhere! We are passionate about maternal mental health, reducing isolation, and connecting parents to services in the community. For the children, we are passionate about learning through play, socialising and connecting.

• Monday it is Babies@MumSpace (under one's not walking) Salvation Army SE5 7HG 11-12
• Tuesday it is Wyndham Road MumSpace (under 4's) St Michael's Church, Wyndham Road, SE5 0UB 10.30-12

• Wednesday it is Espacio Mama, Spanish speaking group (under 4's) St Meteo, Meadow Row SE1 6RG 10.30-12.30

• Friday it is MumSpace (under 4's) Salvation Army SE5 7HG 10.30-12.30

How do our groups run?

We are a drop in, so just pop along. We have weekly workshops like Talking Therapies, Breastfeeding support, Social Prescribers, Public Health and more! Every month parents take the lead and run the workshop, sharing their skills and knowledge. We are supported by volunteers who give their time freely to help run the sessions. They come with a wealth of knowledge and skills.

We are called MumSpace, but dads, partners and family members welcome too.

We also run the Parent University antenatal and postnatal course 3 times a year. The courses are free to attend, we translate in Spanish and it's open to the community.
