RATTLES & HUMS

Rattles & Hums have designed a class that is calmer, shorter (30min) and more sensory-focussed compared to their regular Baby and Toddler music classes. It is called: ‘Shake, Dribble & Roll’ and it is aimed at babies aged 6-12 months.

‘Shake, Dribble & Roll’ classes are all about singing to your baby and slowly moving together, combined with sensory activities.

Apart from singing much-loved classic nursery songs, there will also be more contemporary songs. Kjell (he/him) from Rattles & Hums has written a bunch of original songs with very quirky themes! How about a delicate rock and roll lullaby or a sensory-song about painting the town in beautiful colours?

All songs will be played softly on acoustic guitar, ukulele, a selection of tiny music boxes or the harmonica. Occasionally, Kjell will bring his violin and flute.

So that everyone can join in with these catchy tunes there will be plenty of shakers (in all different shapes and sizes!), rain sticks, silk scarves, ribbons and soft balls.

Hand puppetry (along with a story or song) will also be a part of this class.

There is no need to bring anything – Kjell will provide everything you and your baby need to have a super time, such as yoga mats, shakers, silk scarves, balls and of course, musical instruments!

Payment is after each class and you can pay with card, your mobile phone or cash.

Toilets and changing facilities are just outside of the room. The relaxed Cafe Fika (serving hot and cold drinks) is also just outside of the room.
Buggies can be placed securely in the hall of Cafe Fika.

Rattles & Hums classes have been described as ‘original and quirky, whimsical and inspirational’ aswell as ‘free-flowing fun’.
