READING FAIRY

Celebrate World Book Day with Tara from Reading Fairy Sutton. Bring your 1 - 5 year old to an educational, interactive class on Saturday 28th February. Dressing up is optional but everyone is welcome to dress as a book character.

A Saturday class means you could perhaps have a little break and ask someone else to bring your child. Our weekly classes have regular Mums, Dads, grandparents, childminders and Aunties. Everyone is invited.

The class will be structured in the same way as usual with our five lovable characters each developing different early literacy skills:

• Music Mouse - shares nursery rhymes to develop rhythm and rhyme
• Phonic Fox - teaches a phonic sound to give children exposure to learning sounds
• Reading Fairy - encourages the use of imagination to bring a story to life, supported with the use of sensory elements
• Chat Cat - develops speaking and listening skills through various activities
• Book Bear - ends the session with a theme related book for you to snuggle up and read with your child

Classes are usually split into age ranges as they are specifically designed for children to build on their skills as they grow. For the special weekend classes, these age ranges will be slightly different, with one class for 1 - 3 year olds and another for 3 - 5 year olds.
