READY, STEADY, GO PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

Come along and join in with our fantastic forest school and outdoor learning activities. The group leader has a Forest School level 3 qualification. Activities that take place include: bug hunting, art and crafts, learning about animals and nature, using basic tools and much more. Sessions planned are age appropriate and encourage pre-school children and adults to have fun and learn more about the outdoor surroundings.

The site is ideal for learning outdoors. There is a huge, open, fenced field with a hut, a covered veranda and a patio area. The hut can be used for indoor/outdoor craft activities and there is a field with a selection of trees and plants with plenty of room for exploration.

This half-term our activities will all be based around 'Mud and Water'! The children will be exploring mud and water in our new role-play mud kitchen. They will also be making mud faces, mud snowmen, ice discs and other fun messy activities. If the weather is really cold or wet, some sessions will be spent in other spaces on the site or inside.

The planned games and activities help children develop their confidence, independence, listening skills and their ability to follow instructions.

If your child enjoys exploring the great outdoors, being creative and making new friends and having fun, come along and join in the outdoor fun! Refreshments are available for adults and children during the session and, most importantly, time for all to chat, play and develop new friendships. Why not come along, get stuck in and enjoy the great outdoors! Adults and children, please wear suitable outdoor clothing that will keep you warm and dry.
